Clinton defeated herself, not third parties!

Updated 10-12-16

Even more embarrassing Wikileak emails have come out--this time from Clinton campaign manager John Podesta's emails:

There was collusion between the Clinton campaign and the Justice Department during the email investigation. There was also close contact with the Obama White House, which attempted to assist Clinton regarding the scandal.

There was yet more religious bigotry. Just as the first release of email showed negative views of atheists and secular Jews, the recent release was offensive to Catholics.

There was also additional information on the view of Bernie Sanders by the Clinton camp and their cozy relationship with the media. More here. A conservative perspective, including an admission of how Clinton says things which are untrue, can be found here.

Why “Any Blue” Won’t Do
by Cindy A. Matthews

This isn’t a piece I wanted to write, but I feel the time has come to say something definitive on the subject. I am the editor of The Bernie Blog after all, so this is a safe place to share these feelings with others of like minds. Perhaps you hold similar beliefs and need reassurance as well. I hope I can provide some.

This is a blog where we don’t make any pretense that we’re not aligned with the ideals of the best candidate running for the presidency--Senator Bernie Sanders. We’re not interested in “second best.” We won’t even consider voting for “the lesser of two evils” because we see a human being before us who isn’t evil, but one who is moral and compassionate and wise and understanding. Bernie has a positive view of what America could be and tells us how we all can take an active part in bringing about this idealistic vision.

There is none of this “No, we can’t” attitude on Team Bernie. We are The Intelligent Electorate. We’re determined to save our beloved country from the corruption of the oligarchs and their paid-off stooges in Congress. Why should we cooperate with those who consume our natural resources and workers’ energy and then expect us to live off their crumbs as they send our jobs overseas? It’s time to clean house and return sanity and charity to the hallowed halls of government. Cooperating with evil because it’s easier than fighting for what is right and moral simply doesn’t appeal to us.

When we’re confronted with the mindless “any blue will do” rhetoric, we of course say, “No thanks.” When you’re on the winning team, why would you feel obligated to change your loyalty mid-game? But some trolls will continue to berate, accuse and try to intimidate us with all sorts of statements that are, frankly, false and plain annoying.  So, in the interest of returning sanity to the Internet and our personal conversations with friends and family members, here are a few helps to deal with these well-intentioned, yet misguided, folks who insist you back another candidate because “Bernie can’t possibly win.” I guess they haven’t seen the recent polls, but we can rectify that, can’t we? After all, we do our research, right?

Hillary Clinton's defense of a 42 year old man she knew was guilty of raping a 12 year old girl: In the interview in this article, you can hear her laughing at getting the rapist off with just "time served" for two months while awaiting trial. And she knew her friend the prosecutor had destroyed the evidence (blood and semen stained underwear), but instead of complaining, she called charging the guilty man a "miscarriage of justice" again while laughing.

Clinton’s nasty smear campaign against Obama in 2008:

The infamous “3 AM in the morning” commercial ad used against Obama:

Orlando Patterson, a Harvard sociology professor, interpreted the ad this way: "I have spent my life studying the pictures and symbols of racism and slavery... and when I saw the Clinton ads, the central image, innocent sleeping children and a mother in the middle of the night at risk of mortal danger, it brought to my mind scenes from the past. I couldn't help but think of D.W. Griffith's Birth of a Nation, the racist movie epic that helped revive the Ku Klux Klan with its portrayal of black men lurking in the bushes around white society. The danger implicit in the phone ad, as I see it, is that the person answering the phone might be a black man, someone who could not be trusted to protect us from this threat.”

A very telling article about the character of a certain Democratic candidate by William Safire:

Hillary Clinton lies video

Here’s an essay that sums up how many feel about a certain Democratic candidate and why they cannot bring themselves to vote for her. Morality is important to most Bernie supporters:

Contrast the previous essay to what Clinton supporters say in this Time magazine article. Clinton supporters view morality very differently from Bernie supporters. These young voters say you can't have morality in politics. They attended Vassar and don't seem to understand racism or a rigged economy. Striving for a better society isn't "practical" for them, but then again, they're part of the 1%.  Whether the author meant to do so or not, this article shows the great divide between moral and amoral voters, and possibly why Clinton will never appeal to Bernie supporters and vice versa.
